Presentation

The Group of Research CRYF has been created in the University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain) in order to promote interdisciplinary study of issues where science, philosophy and theology intertwine.

CRYF stands for the Spanish full name “Science, Reason, and Faith” (“Ciencia, Razon y Fe”). We note that in Welsh “cryf” is related with “strength”. We like to think that an harmonious relationship between science, reason and faith can provide great strength to individuals and to the solution of deep problems in human life.

Although it was created in 2002, its origin can be traced back to the meetings that several members, jointly with other professors, held since three years before.

Just now its specific areas of interest are the following:

  • Origin of the universe
  • Evolution
  • Order, complexity, and finality
  • Nature and person
  • Science and truth
  • Science and religion
